Practical Application of Alumina Ceramic Thermocouple Protection Tube
In the heating furnaces of large steel plants in China, thermocouples that used to use ordinary metal protective tubes had an average service life of only 3 months due to the high temperature, strong corrosion, and high wear environment inside the furnace. Frequent replacement not only affects production efficiency, but also increases a lot of costs. Afterwards, alumina ceramic tubes were used as thermocouple protection tubes, extending their service life to over 12 months. In terms of temperature measurement accuracy, the measurement error of ordinary protective tube thermocouples is around ± 5 ℃, while after using alumina ceramic tubes, the error can be controlled within ± 2 ℃, significantly improving the temperature control accuracy of the heating furnace, optimizing the steel heating process, and improving product quality.
