Features of alumina wear-resistant ceramic plate

2021-06-25

Alumina wear-resistant ceramic plates are special industrial ceramic materials made from high-purity alumina as the main raw material and rare metal oxide flux. They are produced through high-pressure forming and sintering at temperatures above 1700℃, and serve as a new type of protective material with excellent cost performance in the current industrial wear protection field.

1. Large hardness

Measured by professional research institutes, its Loss hardness is HRA80-90, which is second only to diamond and far exceeds the wear resistance of wear-resistant steel and stainless steel.

2. Good wear resistance

After research and determination, its wear resistance is equivalent to 266 times that of manganese steel and 171.5 times that of high-chromium cast iron. According to our customer follow-up survey over the past ten years, under the same working conditions, the service life of the equipment can be extended by at least ten times.

3. Lightweight

Its density is 3.5g/cm3, which is only half that of steel, which can greatly reduce the equipment load.

4. Wide range of applications

Alumina wear-resistant ceramic plates have been applied across all industrial scenarios and become a standard material for equipment protection in the heavy industry. In thermal power plants, they are mainly used for the protection of coal conveying pipelines, coal mills and dust removal & ash discharge systems. In mining and metallurgy, they are applied to magnetic separators, material hoppers, conveying chutes and high-temperature furnace liners. For cement and chemical industries, they serve as linings for raw material mills, clinker conveyors and chemical reaction equipment. Meanwhile, they are also widely adopted in electronics manufacturing, ports, machinery manufacturing and other fields.

Traditional industrial equipment is currently plagued by severe wear and tear, high operation and maintenance costs, and poor production continuity. The large-scale application of alumina wear-resistant ceramic plates not only addresses the deficiencies in wear and corrosion resistance of industrial equipment at the material level, but also effectively cuts enterprises' overall costs including equipment procurement, operation, maintenance and losses caused by downtime. It also improves the stability and continuity of industrial production.

Going forward, with the continuous upgrading of new material technologies, high-purity and composite alumina wear-resistant ceramic plates will see further performance optimization and cost reduction, empowering more traditional industries to upgrade their equipment and achieve energy conservation and efficiency improvement.
