A French customer placed an order for a batch of ceramic rods back in 2022. During our communication with the customer, we encountered a very tricky issue regarding tolerance.
The normal tolerance for our alumina ceramic rods is around ±0.3–0.5 mm, but the customer required an outer diameter tolerance of ±0.008 mm, which is an extremely precise tolerance. This was both a challenge and a breakthrough for our factory.
Our factory director attached great importance to this opportunity. After further discussion, the customer agreed to give us a few days for research and testing. Following internal discussions and consultations with industry peers, our workshop finalized the production process and procedures, then produced samples. The samples fully met the customer’s tolerance requirements, and we successfully secured the order. Our manufacturing technology also made a significant step forward.
In 2026, the customer placed a repeat order for the same ceramic rods. After three years of usage, the customer expressed high satisfaction with the wear resistance and insulation properties of our alumina ceramic rods, and stated that they intended to establish long-term, stable cooperation with us.
With our extensive experience, we quickly put this order into production to ensure the customer receives the alumina ceramic rods on schedule.
