The refractory ceramic crucible in the picture is a custom-made product for the customer. It is made of aluminum oxide with a purity of 99.3%, and has the following properties:

• A temperature resistance range of 1600℃-1800℃;

• High chemical inertness (resistant to acid and alkali corrosion);

• Extremely low impurity content;

• Excellent thermal stability, characterized by a small thermal expansion coefficient of 8.2 mm·10⁻⁶/℃·m and outstanding thermal shock resistance.

▶In metallurgical experiments, the pretreatment of ores (such as iron ore, copper ore, bauxite, etc.) usually needs to be achieved through high-temperature roasting (e.g., desulfurization, decarburization, and phase transformation), and refractory ceramic crucibles are the core containers for this process.

▶In university metallurgical experiments, high-temperature environments are often required for the sintering or alloying of metal powders (such as iron powder, aluminum powder, and titanium powder), and refractory ceramic crucibles play a crucial role as carriers or molds.

▶In the metallurgical process, the oxidation and reduction reactions of metals or their oxides (such as the reduction of metal oxides to simple substances and the preparation of oxide films on metal surfaces) need to be carried out in a specific atmosphere (e.g., H₂, N₂, CO₂), and refractory ceramic crucibles are ideal reaction vessels.

• Slip casting moulding: Inject the prepared slurry into the gypsum mold and let it stand for a period of time to allow the gypsum mold to absorb moisture. The slurry forms a uniform body on the inner wall of the mold.

• Isostatic pressing: During the isostatic pressing procedure, binders are blended with the ceramic powder. As a result of this process, the powder transforms into freely flowing granules that can effortlessly fill the molds.

• Extrusion moulding: Suitable for long tube products, the powder is extruded into shape through an extruder.
