In the coal conveying system of a million-kilowatt coal-fired power plant, The equipment was originally protected by carbon steel liners and conventional wear-resistant coatings. However, the traditional solutions present prominent drawbacks: rapid abrasion, rusting, coating peeling, and frequent maintenance.
This renovation uses 99% alumina ceramic square plates to install wear-resistant liners inside the equipment, which is suitable for protecting flat surfaces and vertical inner walls of various types of equipment.
Alumina ceramic square plates possess ultra-high hardness, and their wear resistance is more than 10 times that of ordinary carbon steel. With a dense and compact structure, they show outstanding resistance to impact and cracking.
After the renovation was completed, the equipment operated continuously and stably for 24 months without any problems such as board damage, detachment, wear and failure, and the comprehensive application benefits were very significant.
