In the iron and steel metallurgy industry, a major domestic steel enterprise previously used stainless steel protective tubes for temperature measurement during blast furnace smelting. Under the operating condition of molten steel above 1500℃, these tubes only had an average service life of 7 to 10 days. They frequently suffered oxidation damage and excessive temperature measurement errors. Frequent production halts for part replacement every month seriously undermined the continuous production efficiency of the blast furnace.
After switching to protective tubes made of 99.3% high-purity alumina ceramic, the continuous stable operation time of the equipment has been extended to more than six months. The temperature measurement data remains accurate and stable throughout operation with no data drift, corrosion or cracking. A single production line cuts annual operation and maintenance costs by over 30,000 yuan. Meanwhile, the continuity of blast furnace production and the qualified rate of finished steel products have been greatly improved.
